Daniel Metz is Professor of Management and Vice-Rector of the “1 Decembrie 1918” University of Alba Iulia. He holds a PhD and a Habilitation in Management and has more than three decades of experience at the intersection of academia, leadership, and the IT industry.
He is the founder of EBS Romania, later acquired by NTT DATA, where he served as CEO, Chairman of the Board, and Senior Executive Advisor, contributing to the creation of over 4,500 jobs. His research interests focus on organisational culture, leadership, entrepreneurship, resilience, and digital transformation. He has published over 40 scientific articles and more than 10 academic books with international publishers and the Romanian Academy Publishing House. His work has been recognised with several distinctions, including the titles of Professor Honoris Causa and Doctor Honoris Causa, as well as awards for leadership and contributions to education, culture, and entrepreneurship.
